A sunny autumn morning in Hollingbourne.

Hollingbourne is currently enjoying sunny but cold autumn weather and the picture below was taken on the Hollingbourne Meadows Trust land this morning and it shows a Virgin hot air balloon rising from Leeds Castle.

Hollingbourne Meadows Trust maintains the area for the benefit of the village and is run by volunteers. Their 2018 calendar will shortly be on sale and an appeal is to be launched in conjunction with the Leeds and Hollingbourne branch of the Royal British Legion in order to plant 100 hawthorn trees to mark the centenary of the end of WW1.
