Big Lottery fund grants £9990 to Project 100 in Hollingbourne.

The Big Lottery Find has agreed a grant of £9990 to the Project 100 scheme to plant 100 hawthorn trees in an Avenue of Remembrance on the Hollingbourne Meadows Trust land at the rear of Tilefields in order to mark the centenary of the end of WW1. The project hopes also to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

Committee member Shaun Cardwell of Tilefields has just advised members of the Trust that the funds have been received are in the Appeal bank account.

So far a total of £35,000 has been raised for Project 100 appeal and in November Lynn and Glenn Bryan will be presenting a revue in the Village Hall from the 8th to the 10th of the month in aid of the scheme.
