Nearly 30 people and dogs joined the Annual Boxing Day Walk from the Village Hall that was led by Malcolm Smith and Ben Williams of the Hollingbourne Meadows Trust. The almost 6 mile walk ended at the Dirty Habit PH in Upper Street.
Other Christmas event included the Christmas Eve Christingle service in All Saint’s Church which was packed for the occasion. Later in the evening the Midnight Communion service which ended just before 1am on Christmas Day was attended by nearly 40 people.
Unfortunately the annual “Carols around the Hollingbourne Christmas tree” with mulled wine and mince pies on Tanyard Green did not happen as nobody came forward to organise the event which is financially supported by Hollingbourne Parish Council. Under normal circumstances it would have happened on the evening of Saturday 17th December. If you would like to organise a 2017 event please contact the Parish Clerk.
