All Saints’ Hollingbourne Parochial Church Council invites all villagers to attend the following meeting.

NORTH DOWNS DEANERY SYNOD MEETING 7.30pm 14 MARCH 2018 HOLLINGBORNE VILLAGE HALL

The Bishop of Dover, the Rt Rev Trevor Willmott, and the Diocesan Secretary, Julian Hills, have kindly accepted our invitation to come to an open Synod meeting on 14 March to talk about the challenges of leadership, growth and finance facing the Parishes in our Deanery.
From Moses at the burning bush to Jesus himself at his baptism, from fishermen leaving their nets to the women who first witnessed the resurrection, the Christian story is one of lives transformed. This is the vision driving the Canterbury Diocesan strategy for renewal. The Diocese aims to work in partnership with the Church Commissioners in using its resources and money wisely to help develop this strategy. At the same time, it recognises that Parishes are facing increasing and serious financial challenges.

This Synod meeting will be about the future of the Church so we very much hope you will want to join us and take part in the discussion.
