Leeds Castle which is between the villages of Hollingbourne and Leeds is running a number of film and theatre events from 22nd July to 2nd September. The Castle attracts 600,000 visitors a year and employs 350 locally and has supported Hollingbourne Parish Council in the fight against development at Junction 8 of the M20 in Hollingbourne.
Tickets for the grounds and castle can be used for a year and there are special prices for children and seniors. Some special events require an additional ticket.
Some of the events during July and August are as follows:-
4th July – Open Air Theatre – The Tempest
18th July – Opera – Bastien and Bastienne and The Impressario – In the Banqueting Hall.
2nd August – Open Air Cinema – The Italian Job
3rd August – Open Air Cinema – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
4th August – Open Air Cinema – Dirty Dancing.
17th and 18th August – Open Air Theatre – Peter Pan
