Eyhorne Street blocked by upside down car.

Eyhorne Street was temporarily blocked this morning by a car that turned upside down at the end of Station Lane. Although ambulances were called nobody was hurt and Kent Police arranged for the car to be removed and the road was reopened by 9am.

The accident happened at at about 7.30am on the stretch of road between rthe Railway Arch and Tanyard Green where most road accidents in Hollingbourne seem to happen and where there is solar powered inter-active speed sign which reminds motorists of the 30mph limit. One of the reasons that Hollingbourne Parish Council gave for objecting to the nearby Wealden Homes development in May 2014 was the fact that the new Godfrey Meadow estate opens on to the most accident prone section of Eyhorne Street.
