Greenway Court Road which connects the A20 with Eyhorne Street at the Lance Memorial Playing Field has now been flooded for almost three months which has been of great inconvenience to motorists whilst being impassable to pedestrians.
Hollingbourne Parish Council and local residents have reported the problem to Kent County Council Highways but the drainage problem under the railway bridge has not been resolved. It is understood that cars have been stuck from time to time in the water.
The Parish Council is aware of other issues including the ongoing need to repair various potholes and other highway issues and regularly makes representations to KCC Highways about the poor state of Hollingbourne’s roads. Local KCC Councillor Shellina Prendergast is aware of these concerns.
Highways issues can be reported direct to KCC Highways at their Call Centre : 03000 41 41 41
Please call immediately on 03000 418181 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday or on 03000 419191 at all other times.
