Dear Residents,

Kent County Council (KCC) Waste Management have been developing a draft Waste Disposal Strategy which presents the overall ‘Ambition’ for KCC as the Waste Disposal Authority up to 2035, as well as a series of priorities and supporting objectives to help reach the ambition. KCC would like to know your views on the draft strategy as part of a 12 week consultation, which is live between Monday 11th July and Tuesday 2nd October 2016.

You are more than welcome to submit your own response to the consultation as well as contribute to Maidstone’s response.  I will be drafting a response to the consultation which will be considered by the Communities, Housing and Environment Committee in September and would appreciate your feedback on the draft strategy, priorities and objectives.  Please email me with your comments by Monday 22 August at JenniferShepherd@maidstone.gov.uk
