Hollingbourne celebrates St. George’s Day one day early!

Hollingbourne has celebrated St. George’s Day one day early with a revue in the Village Hall that was organised by Glenn and Lynn Bryan and featured many members of the Hollingbourne Pantomime Group including Colin Leggat, David Abson, Keith Harris, Graham Wood, Gill Phelan, Mary Tapsfield, and David and Jo Head. St.George’s Day is the 23rd April which is also Shakespeare’s birthday. St.George is the patron saint of England and more information is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_George

The performance was to a packed Village Hall with music provided by Phillip Reed with lighting and effects provided by Ivor Tapsfield. Dancing followed the revue with a four piece group.

The 2018 Village pantomime in February next year will be the Wizard of Oz with auditions in October.
