Hollingbourne goes tropical for the Heart of Kent Hospice!

The Sugar Loaves in Eyhorne Street is having a Totally Tropical Night from 7.30pm on Saturday 19th August with music and rum based cocktails. All are welcome and a a free drink will be given to anybody turning up in a tropical costume. There may also be limbo dancing plus games events in aid of the Heart of Kent Hospice.

The Sugar Loaves is one of the three public houses in Hollingbourne and was taken over by licensee Steve Thomas some 18 months ago since which time the public house has been refurbished while still offering a traditional public house atmosphere with pub games including bat and trap and a regular Thursday night quiz. Bat and trap is a traditional Kent garden game and the historic Sugar Loaves is one of the few public houses that still offer the facility.

Also in 19th August is the All Saints’ Church Barbecue from midday at the Old House in Broad Street and all are welcome.
