Hundreds attend Hollingbourne Beer Festival.

Hundreds of people attended the 4th annual Hollingbourne Beer and Music Festival that was organised by Richard Phillips at the Windmill Public House in Eyhorne Street yesterday. Live music was performed from midday until just after 8pm and among the beers on sale was the locally brewed ales from the Musket Brewery.

Every local parking space was occupied and some customers overflowed into the nearby Sugar Loaves Public House which was taken over by new landlord Steve Thomas earlier this year. Occasional rain showers did not dampen the spirits of the crowd in the garden of the Windmill.

The Windmill is listed in the Michelin guide and is one of three hosteries operated by Richard Phillips with the other two being the Pearson’s Arms in Whitstable and Thackeray’s Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells.
