Faversham and Mid Kent MP Mrs Helen Whately is the subject or an article in the current issue of the Private Eye magazine. The article is reproduced below from the the satirical and news magazine as it may of interest to local residents.

The news letter contains items on the NHS and the possibility of a new hospital for Canterbury, the recruitment of EU fruit pickers after Brexit, expenditure on schools, and a new lift for Faversham Station.
Mrs Whately is pictured below at Junction 8 of the M20 in Hollingbourne where she has promised to oppose development. She has also promised to press for resurfacing of the M20 between Junctions 8 and 9 to reduce noise and to campaign for the seamless transit of vehicles through Dover and the Channel Tunnel after Brexit in order to avoid traffic jams on the M20. She is also expressed concern about the proposed development in Windmill Lane in Hollingbourne.
