Packed Sugar Loaves for send off of Shula Lee from the Hollingbourne Village Shop.

Yesterday evening the Sugar Loaves was packed with Christopher’s Village Shop customers who were saying goodbye to Shula Lee who has worked in the shop for eight years. She starts a new job with Leith’s, the caterers at Leeds Castle next week.

Christopher Rudgard, the Eyhorne Street shop owner, presented her with a large bouquet, and many other customers gave her presents. She lives with her family in Tilefields and her parents recently moved into the Godfrey Meadow development. She is also a member of the All Saints’ Parochial Church Council.

Christopher Rudgard has recently announced that the Shop will continue trading after some months of uncertainty and in the new year the business will be reorganised with landlord Paul Teague moving his office into the back room in exchange for making the retail area rent free.
