Police find Gloria Stringer who disappeared in Hollingbourne on New Years’s Day.

Kent Online is reporting that the Police have found the body of Gloria Stringer (81) who was last seen late at night in Hospital Road on New Year’s Day. At one point over 200 police were involved in the search for her. She was known to like walking on her own for some distance.

Today’s Kent Online report from the Kent Messenger reads as follows:

Police have announced that they are no longer looking for 81-year-old Gloria Stringer who went missing from her home village in January, after the discovery of a body.
Mrs Stringer had last been seen near her house in Hospital Road, Hollingbourne, at around 10.30pm on January 1.
Her disappearance sparked a huge search involving both Kent Police and Kent Search and Rescue.

Police confirmed today that they had found Mrs Stringer’s body in the Willington Street area yesterday at 11.55am.
They are treating her death as unexplained but not suspicious.

Her family have been informed.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
