Public meeting on Station Footpath postponed until January and other railway news.

The Public Meeting to consider Network Rail’s plan to divert the footpath over the railway line in Hollingbourne that was due to be held in the Village Hall today has been postponed until 23rd January because of the hospitalisation of the Chairman. The venue will be the Village Hall at 2.30pm. There will be a site visit at 1.45pm to which the public are invited to attend.

The proposal is to close the present footpath cross to the west of Hollingbourne Station and to divert the footpath over the footbridge at the Station. It is understood that KCC is likely to oppose the closure of the present crossing.
