Up goes the Hollingbourne Christmas tree!

Hollingbourne’s Christmas tree, an annual gift from Leeds Castle, has today been erected on Tanyard Green. The tree on Eyhorne Green is privately arranged by the Stroud family and Andrew Snowdon.

Traditionally villagers have sung carols around the tree on the last Saturday evening but nobody has come forward to arrange this event despite appeals in the December Parish Magazine and on this website at http://www.hollingbournepc.kentparishes.gov.uk/default.cfm?pid=news&newsid=13883

Normally the event would happen from 6pm to 7.30pm on Saturday 17th December. For more information please contact the Parish Clerk at pchollingbourne@gmail.com

Pictured below are the team who every year put up the tree. Left to right are John Gibbs, Ivor Tapsfield, and Derek Davison.
