Volunteers are required for the erection of the gazebos that will house the stalls at the Summer Fete on Saturday 11th June. About 30 gazebos and other tents will need to be erected from 8.30am onwards on the morning of the Fete at the Lance Memorial Playing Field. After the Fete help is also needed to take them down from 5.30pm and to pack them away in the Cardwell Pavilion. The work should be over by 7pm.

Help is also need on Friday 10th June from 6pm onwards to bring the Fete equipment down from the loft in the Cardwell Pavilion.There will also be a working party at the Cardwell Pavilion on Sunday 12th from 9am onwards to finally clear the site after the previous evening’s entertainment from the Screaming Blue Scoundrels.
Attractions at the Fete will include a bar, a barbecue, an Exemption Dog Show, a Tug o War, races for all ages, a dance display, and various stalls.
The Rio Olympics themed Fete which which will be opened at 1pm by Sir David Steel, CEO of Leeds Castle,will be preceded by a motorcade from the Village Hall of interesting and classic vehicles.
