90th birthday celebrations for long time Hollingbourne resident.

Around 100 people packed the Hollingbourne Village Hall this afternoon to mark the birthday of long term Hollingbourne resident Marian Anderson who celebrated her 90th birthday on 26th February.

Marian moved to Hollingbourne in 1976 and initially lived in a flat above the Village Shop before moving to her cottage in Church Approach where she has lived for most of her stay in the village. Marian is a retired book editor and work for many years at the former KIAD in Maidstone. She has also been a long time proof reader of the Hollingbourne Parish Magazine.

The event was organised by her daughter Sally French who lives in Wormshill with some help from her son Ben who lives in Prague.
