Big send off for Village Shopkeeper from Hollingbourne customers.

Hollingbourne residents today packed Christopher’s Village Shop in Eyhorne Street for a retirement party for Christopher Rudgard (78) who retires from running the Village Shop after 17 years on Sunday 29th September. The shop will then close for refurbishment and reopen as Woods of Hollingbourne in November.

During the period of the closure daily newspapers will continue to be available from Christopher at 65 Eyhorne Street although the weekly Wednesday Post Office will not operate.

Pictured below are some scenes of the well attended event.
