Bookings now being taken for stalls for the 2019 Summer Fete and Exemption Dog Show.

Bookings are now being taken for stalls for the 2019 Hollingbourne Summer Fete and Exemption Dog Show  which will be held from midday to around 5.30pm on Saturday 8th June on the Lance Memorial Playing Field. Subject to weather conditions it is expected that around one thousand people are expected to attend based on the turnout in previous years.

The 2019 Fete programme includes sports events, displays by the Hollingbourne County Primary School, a bar, a barbecue, a display of classic cars and much else. The compere for the afternoon will be Andrew Snowdon and the arena events will conclude with a tug o war between teams of eight.

The Stall prices are £15 for Hollingbourne organisations, £25 for local businesses, and £40 for all others. Stall holders will be suppled with a gazebo which they will be expected to erect and dismantle but no display tables. It is expected that stall holders will supply their own furniture including tables and table their rubbish to a skip which will be located close to the Cardwell Pavilion.

More information about Stall Bookings is available from the Parish Clerk (Tel 880526) or pchollingbourne@gmail.com All cheques should be made payable to “Hollingbourne Parish Council”. There is no formal theme for the Fete this year but a prize will be awarded for the best stall.

The next Summer Fete planning meeting will be on Monday 20th May at 8pm in the Sugar Loaves PH in Eyhorne Street. On Saturday 18th May at 10am at the Cardwell Pavilion there will be a working morning to prepare the stored gazebos for the Fete. All are welcome on both occasions.
