Calling classic car owners – Book the 8th June for the Hollingbourne Fete!

Local classic car owners are invited to bring their cars along to the Hollingbourne Summer Fete and Exemption Dog Show on the Lance Memorial Playing Field on Saturday 8th June from midday until 5.30pm. In previous years the Fete has attracted a number of interesting cars from Kent and from Templeuve in France which is twinned with Hollingbourne. This year’s Fete Committee wishes to continue the tradition with a motorcade around the Arena and a static display outside the Cardwell Pavilion.

Other Arena events arranged so far include family sports, maypole dancing by the pupils of Hollingbourne CP School, a dance display by New Direction, an Exemption Dog Show, and the traditional finale of a tug of war competition. There will also be a bar and barbecue.

For information about stall bookings please contact the Parish Clerk at or Tel 880526.

As in previous years the car park will be manned by members of the Hollingbourne Meadows Trust who will be raising money for their charity and volunteers are wanted to help with the task. Please contact Ben Williams at The website of the Trust is

The next Fete planning meeting is on Monday 25th March at 8pm in the Sugar Loaves in Eyhorne Street. All are welcome.
