Closure of B2149 through Leeds from 8th April for up to 11days. – UPDATED

Hollingbourne Parish Council has been advised that the B2149/C603 through Leeds will be closed for up to 11days. It links the A20 with the A274 and is a major route on to Junction 8 of the M20 from Sutton Valence, Headcorn, and beyond.


UPDATE as of 10th April – The road has not been totally closed to traffic although it will be on 11th April and 12th April. Traffic lights have been installed to allow traffic to use just one side of the road. This means that the number 13 bus will continue to run except on 11th and 12th April.

UPDATE as of 15th April – The road is now fully open.

Temporary Road Closure – B2163 Upper Street, Leeds – from 8 April 2019 for up to 11 days

The road will be closed outside “Ledian Farmhouse”.

The alternative route is via B2163 Lower Road/Penfold Hill, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, B2163 Leeds Road and vice versa.

The closure is to enable the construction of a bell-mouth in the carriageway to be carried out by Gallagher Ltd.
