Easter events in and around Hollingbourne for your diary.

Some local events that you may wish to add to your diary for the coming Easter weekend. Please see below for more information.

Saturday 20th April – Open Day at All Saint’s Church in Hollingbourne (please see poster below).

Saturday 20th April – Point to Point Racing at Charing.

Saturday 20th April – Easter Vigil in All Saints’ Church in Hollingbourne from 7pm.

Sunday 21st April – Easter Eucharist at 9.30am in All Saints’ Church in Hollingbourne.

Sunday 21st April – First Steam Day at the Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway beyond the top of Hollingbourne Hill.

Sunday 21st – Easter Informal Bal in Hollingbourne Village Hall.

Also through most of April and the beginning of May are millions of bluebells on the Hucking Estate of the Woodland Trust – left at the top of Hollingbourne Hill and then left again.

Please note there will be a traditional pre Easter Palm Sunday service at 9.30am on Sunday 14th April in All Saints’ Church in Hollingbourne. All are welcome.

Other key Hollingbourne events during April include the All Saints’ Parochial Church Meeting at 11am on Sunday 28th and the Annual Parish Meeting in the Village Hall on Tuesday 30th April at 7.30pm.

Items at the Annual Parish Meeting organised by the Parish Council include an introduction to the defibrillators recently installed outside the Hall and at the School, a discussion about the need for Speedwatch, and a talk by a representative from Leeds Castle who are celebrating 900 years of the Castle’s existence this year. All are welcome and refreshments will be available.
