Local MP votes with Government against proroguing motion to stop Brexit without a deal.

Faversham and Kent MP Mrs Helen Whately, who represents Hollingbourne, voted with the Government on Oppositions Motions relating to Northern Ireland which were designed to prevent the proroguing of Parliament in order that Brexit can be achieved on 31st October 2019 without a deal. The Government was defeated three times which will make it more difficult for the Prime Minister of the day to prorogue Parliament in order to achieve Brexit on any terms including “no deal”.
