Milly needs a new home!

The Cobbett family are planning to move after 35 happy years in Hollingbourne to a new home in Tenterden. Unfortunately one member of the entourage may not adapt to the downsizing move for a number of reasons. Please Read More for further details.

Liz Cobbett writes:

We are expecting to move away from Hollingbourne in the next few weeks and our new home in Tenterden is sadly going to be too hazardous for Milly our cat, as it is bounded on two sides by the road & on the third by the heritage railway which runs regular trains. Milly was a stray who squeezed under a loose plank into our roof five years ago to give birth to three kittens and she has been with us ever since. Milly has been spayed & chipped & is about six years old. She is affectionate but gets scratchy when she’s had enough of being stroked. She does not like being picked up (though she does submit when we catch her to apply flea treatment) and is an independent, outdoor cat who can disappear for two or three days at times but always comes back when she’s ready. She needs to be allowed her independence & would be better in a home with no dogs as she is nervous of our two and avoids them as much as she can, I don’t think she’s had any experience of living with children.
