3.2 250 parishes provide 90% of Diocesan Budget. Approx 75% of Budget spent on parish ministry and church buildings.

3.3. Parish share up 5.3%, weekly attendance down 6 %. Therefore each individual attendee needs to increase their individual share by 12% . This against wage rises in order of 3%.

3.4 Crucial Objectives – growth spiritual and numerical.

3.5 Diocesan Level expenditure 75% on Ministry and Training; increase in new younger ordinands, however 50% of clergy due to retire within next 5 years.

3.6 C of E established church, a presence in each community – will not necessarily be with a church building.

3.7 The Archdeacon led a discussion on what was hoped to be achieved – see attached. There was a general discussion, to look at the future, more laity involved in ministry, not necessarily a weekly Eucharist in churches. Emphasis on working in schools.
