Please see below for a couple of on-going roadwork project updates.
The UKPN and streetlight works at Sutton Road, Maidstone were completed this week. This will allow for the layby construction works to commence in January 2020 which will be completed by KCC’s highway contractor. The shelter works are also due to be completed in conjunction with the layby work.
Should there be no delays with the infrastructure works (weather pending), the Feeder Service will be registered for commencement for February 2020.

Alan Caryl, the Drainage Schemes Engineer for Kent County Council has updated that as the second part of their highway drainage CCTV survey on the 10th November didn’t go to plan, another date of Sunday 12th January has now been planned to complete the survey from The Dirty habit pub down to the church.
This highway drainage system CCTV survey, from Ringlestone Road to just past the Church will take place between the hours of 0900-1700.
Access to the public house and residents will be maintained from one end of the closure or the other and as far as practicably possible. There will be times when the road is fully blocked, especially up hill of the public house – Hollingbourne Hill and they will not be able to let vehicles through. There will be business open as usual signs set out with the road closure signs so customers are aware the public house is still open.
Finally, a reminder from Kent fire and rescue on the dangers of drink driving this festive season in this shocking report.
