All Saints’ Church in Upper street has been at the heart of Hollingbourne life for nearly one thousand years. The size of the congregation has declined over the last few decades and the church is now part of the Pilgrim’s Way group of parishes which include Hucking, Thurnham, Detling, Grove Green and Boxley. It is within the North Downs Benefice which includes Bearsted as well as Leeds, Langley, Otham, and Broomfield. He Reverend Paul Kite who was appointed Team Vicar some two years ago would like to know your views on the church.
Jo Horton from All Saints’ Church writes:
Last Sunday at the Harvest Festival (6th October), the Rev. Paul Kite inspired the congregation with his vision for our Church in Hollingbourne as we enter the third decade of the 21 century. The attached form (reproduced below) was handed out on Sunday for people to express their views. However many people do not worship in Hollingbourne church on a Sunday. It is estimated over 50 people have some involvement with church directly and numerous more have a connection. So please pick up a form from the back of the church or use the form below and return the completed form to the church or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your comments using the question headings as a basis ( Rev Paul will keep your identity confidential) . It would be lovely to have a wide range of views from all ages, all community groups and any one who has a concern for All Saints’ Hollingbourne, as opposed to just the minority who go to church on Sunday.
